Kim Nam-joon, better known by his stage name RM, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and record producer. He joined Big Hit Entertainment as a Trainee in 2010 and debuted with the boy group BTS in 2013. In 2015, RM released his first solo mixtape. RM initially stood for Rap Monster - the name was changed officially in 2017 into RM.
