Wendy, born as Son Seung-wan, is a South Korean singer and a member of the girl group Red Velvet. Wendy grew up in South Korea but moved to Canada while still in Elementary School. While studying abroad, she participated in various open Audition before finally winning the S.M. Global Audition in Canada in 2012. Subsequently she moved to South Korea, where she trained with SM Entertainment before finally debuting with the Girl group Red Velvet in 2014.
